The project at 70 Pier Road will enhance the heritage of the building while providing new office space and residential units in the heart of the town centre. This will include a new extension on the adjacent carpark that aims to complement the existing building.
Haworth Tompkins have been appointed through a competitive tender to work with London Borough of Bexley to find a holistic approach to the development.
Together with other projects in the programme this project is creating a stronger link between the town and the Pier, creating a wider mix of uses in the town centre and protecting the heritage of the town.
