Work is progressing well at 68 Pier Road!
Construction of the new community space 68 located on Pier Road is nearly complete, and the venue—operated by GCDA—is set to open soon.
The name “68,” along with its intended uses and signage, was developed through a community workshop involving local residents, children, and college students, followed by a public vote.
The space will feature a sheltered, multi-use courtyard, a kitchen, hireable rooms, and a fully accessible Changing Places toilet—ensuring it’s welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
68 is a space created for the community—where everyone is welcome.
