Yellow Ribbons at The Exchange

Yellow Ribbons follows the story of Cara, a young woman with dreams of becoming a professional dancer, who suffers with a debilitating gynaecological condition. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women worldwide and is a condition that can affect sufferers’ whole lives, often costing them their careers, friendships, and relationships.

The show examines the impact Endometriosis can have on a woman’s life and the people who love her, while also giving voice to the community of women who suffer from it. Using comedy and movement, the piece tackles difficult yet important issues surrounding women’s health and disability, that is often invisible.

Yellow Ribbons is a charity project, raising money and awareness for Endometriosis UK, a small charity with a big cause. The charity supports women suffering from this invisible disease and further important research into better diagnosis, better treatments, and eventually a cure, as there is currently no cure for the disease.
